LED lights with direct AC supply

LED lights with direct AC supply

It is possible to run LED lights using direct 220 volts. It only requires a resistor and a diode. The voltage is reduced using resistors of the correct ohm, and AC is converted to DC with the help of diodes. LEDs come in many types of voltages.
  • If RGB lights are to be lit then capacitors must be used.
Find out the ohms of resistance and diode required to light a typical 3 volt LED light. :-
